Scale Model Enthusiast
Scale Model Enthusiast Magazine is a new American scale-modeling publication created to showcase outstanding models while telling the stories of how—and why—they were built. Rather than simply presenting finished models, the magazine takes readers closer to the builders and their projects through detailed photography, in-depth model reviews, build features, and coverage of scale-model shows and contests, with the goal of providing both inspiration and enjoyment to hobbyists at every skill level. The magazine made its debut in 2026, with its Premier Issue released as a limited print run, and has continued to expand its coverage of the modeling community through subsequent issues and special event features. Its Summer 2026 Issue #3, for example, featured exclusive coverage of JAXCON 2026 in Jacksonville, Florida, and was offered with alternate covers and unique content—reflecting the publication’s interest in not only the models themselves but also the shows, builders, and communities that make the hobby what it is. From beautifully finished builds and close-up photography to the personalities and stories behind the workbench, Scale Model Enthusiast celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship, and passion found throughout scale modeling. Whether you build aircraft, armor, automobiles, ships, figures, science fiction, dioramas, or something completely different, the magazine offers another way to discover talented builders, pick up ideas for your next project, experience model shows you may not have been able to attend, and—most importantly—stay inspired to keep building.
