Plastic Model Mojo is a popular scale-modeling podcast hosted by longtime friends and modelers Mike Baskette and David “Kentucky Dave” Knights, bringing listeners an entertaining mix of modeling conversation, hobby news, techniques, new products, industry interviews, model-show coverage, and plenty of good-natured bench banter. Launched on January 1, 2020, the podcast grew out of Mike and Dave’s desire to motivate and inspire their own modeling while creating a general scale-modeling podcast based in the United States, and it has since developed into an international community of listeners and fellow builders. Covering everything from aircraft, armor, ships, figures, science fiction, 3D printing, paints, tools, aftermarket products, historical research, and building techniques to manufacturers, hobby businesses, clubs, contests, and conventions, Plastic Model Mojo captures the conversations modelers have around the workbench while also introducing listeners to many of the people and companies helping shape the hobby. The show regularly features guest modelers, manufacturers, artists, hobby personalities, and event organizers, and Mike and Dave are active participants in the model-show community, frequently attending conventions and producing special coverage from events around the hobby.
