Jay Adams
For Jay Adams, scale modeling has been much more than a hobby. Jay has an extensive professional history within the model-kit industry, including serving as Product Development Manager for Monogram Models, later working as a Senior Product Developer for The Bradford Exchange, developing his own miniature products, and professionally building models for manufacturers—including models used as box-art subjects for Revell releases. Jay later became part of the Free Time Hobbies team after walking into the company’s hobby shop in 2013 looking for paint to finish one of those Revell projects. He stayed with company into the Squadron years until retiring in 2024 . At ModelCon EagleQuest, Jay will be joining the Private Seller with kits and hobby items from his personal collection, making his table a particularly interesting stop for anyone who enjoys both model kits and the history behind the hobby. Come browse the stash, find a project to take home, and don’t miss the opportunity to talk models with someone who has spent decades on both sides of the model-kit box.
